No URL as far as I know. I have learnt to live with the cloak and
dagger stuff of 'open government'. I have also learnt that there are
things that exist outside the world of URLs ;-)
NHSnet is a dead end for GPs. The whole world knew that except IMG.
The simple reason? Why should I, a GP, pay over 10 grand to get less
than what I can get for under a tenner?
Would you? Especially when what you gonna get for 10 grand may not be
what you want in the first place! Am I going crazy or what?
Forget about all this stuff about URLs and medical records available in
outer Manchester. When we can transfer a single medical record between
2 systems of the same make, let alone different make, we can begin to
build a network of servers and clients. Until that day comes, the
whole thing about the so called electronic medical record is a farse.
Right Andrew?
Everything in life is more or less. In this instance, there is a
'freeze' on new GP NHSnet connection. The more or less bit is there to
accommodate the one or tow Practices who are already connected.
