Send it back and get an external HDD device like the Swap Disk. Backs
up in 2 shakes of a lamb's tail because it works at the speed of a hard
disk even when plugged into the parallel port.
In fact, what I do is not to back up at all but to take a mirror copy
of my entire C drive onto the Swap drive, each mirror over writes the
old stuff when there are changes!
You might also like to use a file synchronisation utility like
'FileSynch' that is very fast in comparing down to byte by byte and
synchronising 2 drives. It is free :-)
