I saw a presentation about it at the PHCSG conference at UMIST last
week. Looks nice if you are used to DOS / UNIX screens, but there
are an awful lot of selections to be made before you can get to a
choice of term / code. In other words, it appears to ask the
clinician to atomise concepts first, then the software builds the
term / code.
My other worry is to do with the coding itself - who is doing the
coding / mapping exercise, how is it being kept up to date with
developments in Read Code, what are the quality control mechanisms?
Those questions were not answered in the presentation. Anyone got
any experience of the system in use?
