I have in the past been assured by on-line GPs that it's not a problem.

One of the unfortunate side effects of generic prescribing is that the drug
name on the label is in tiny letters, while the brand of generic (which no
one has ever heard of) is in GREAT BIG LETTERS on the box.

or just maybe a different make of the generic was obtained from the
pharmacy.
