PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT: ONE DAY CONFERENCE
Development of the FASTRAK and related technologies for Human Motion Analysis
An inaugural conference is planned for Thursday, 16th July, 1998, to be held in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It
is aimed at a multidisciplinary audience interested in the development of 3D tracking systems such as the
FASTRAK, ISOTRAK and similar technologies for human motion analysis in clinical and / or sports related
applications.
The conference is being organised by the Staffordshire FASTRAK Users Group who are currently working
on the development of the FASTRAK in measuring cervical spine, shoulder, lumbar spine and hip motion.
The proposed timetable consists of oral presentations in the morning, a poster exhibition after lunch and
interactive demonstrations in the afternoon. The conference should appeal to medical practitioners,
physiotherapists, biomechanists, biomedical engineers, physicists, statisticians, mathematicians and other
professionals with a special interest in human movement.
A call for abstracts and further information will be circulated in early February. These will also be available
