John,
Ross Anderson and Fleur Fisher and a number of others including myself
as DIN Chairman are petrified that the Caldicott Report
recommendations are going ahead unaltered.
Ross has a home page full of highly reputable documents of various
lengths detailing the dreadful confidentiality problem presented by
the emerging NHS net as well as detailed info on what should be done.

Raise this issue with Milburn, and give him the shortest of Ross's
executive summaries to read would be my advice.
If I can I'll be getting the issue examined in at least one of the GP
comics shortly, I feel so strongly about it.
Once you read Ross's analyses, I expect you will be as amazed as I
was at what is even now being foisted on the nation by the NHS
Executive.
Kind regards,
Paul
