Would any dermatological buff know what a sort of not-wart growth under the
head of the first metatarsal, unlike a typical verruca, might be? It started
as a patch of thickening and then seems to have developed a few white
points, visible when it is pared, but it is not circumscribed like a plantar
wart. A chiropodist agreed that it was not really like a wart but didn't
know what else it could be and could only suggest the usual salicylic
acid/paring treatment, which after 6 months has achieved nothing. The pain
from it restricts (my other half's) walking range. My recommendation is to
stop doing anything and get a dermatologist to look at it when it is florid
and in its natural state, but if anyone has any better suggestions . . .?
