This, alas, is an unwinnable war. This will march relentlessly to
its logical conclusion and the end of the NHS as a demand-led, fully
funded health service.
Health care in the next 5-10 years will be nothing like what you see
today. All this that you talk about above is mere jostling for
position.
I repeat: the ending of the NHS is big business. A multi-billion
pound business for an awful lot of people and organisations who have
been preparing for this for ages and they are ready for the pounce.
They will take their time whilst things simmer down to a quiet disaster
then whallop.
I counsel preparedness and fallback strategies for each and every
individual of us who have given it our blood and tears.
The real losers will be the not so well off patients.
