"Leaders prepare for war over pay" (DOCTOR)
The government has let it be known that pay awards will be fixed for three
years. Dr Chisholm says if the next RB award is interefered with GMSC
will call a ballot on "industrial action". Should not GMSC call that
ballot BEFORE the announcement of the RB award in order to:
1. Fire a meaningful, determined shot at HMG
2. be prepared for an INSTANT reaction when the award is staged?
The threat would not be against the RB but against HMG. Is it not true
that our pay has fallen too far behind comparators and that in the past
GMSC has always *reacted* too late rather than anticipated and pro-acted?
