Aha!
At last a subject on which I am truly an expert! Having farted for England I
know of what I speak.
All the other suggestions in reply to this thread may or may not be
appropriate, but before buggering the patient about with nasty antibiotics,
dietary manipulation is the first line. From personal experience, if I have
muesli for breakfast, then I am totally socially unacceptable in the
afternoon. (I hasten to add that this is not the normal state of affairs<g>).
Similarly certain cereals also...beware shreddies...phwoooaahhh!
After many years, I still am uncertain as to exactly what the problem is, so
all I would say is STRICT elimination diets to try to identify the culprit,
and I wouldn't mind betting that cereals may well be implicated.
Curiously, baked beans do not have this effect!
