Hi Fabrizio,
1) yes
2) probably 1-2 times maximum
3) yes
4) occasionally have to be redirected to those offering 24 hr advice if
calling out of hours. Most recent case involved a short sighted old lady
who made a stew out of daffodil bulbs thinking they were onions!

Hi,
just added to the list. I'm a Med student from Italy (Policlinico "A.
Gemelli" - Rome). I'm writing a paper about Quality Controls applied to
Poison Control Centres. I'd like to do a general enquiry about the level of
satisfaction of Family Docs (our main users) towards the services provided
by Poison Control Centres.
Could you help me, answering the following questions? (email your answer
direclty to me if you prefer).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
Q.1) Have you ever called a Poison Control Centre when dealing with a
toxicological emergency? (or if you just suspected your patient to be under
acute intoxication)
[if you answered yes, please answer the following questions too]
Q.2) How many times a year do you call a Poison Control Centre?
Q.3) Do you feel satisfied with the help received by the Poison Control
Centre?
Q.4) free comments about Q.3

-
It would be a great help for me to receive your answer..
Thanks in advance,
