This is not as silly as it sounds My grandma never let us drink anything
with our meals as she believed it diluted the digestive juices. We
could not drink within an hour either side of a meal. When a patient
asks a really assinine question I always ask why they want the
information. Your reply may be used to support an argument against
someone eg a relgious leader etc. Also the reasons for such questions
are often fascinating
