I think we need a beefed up GMC. To deal with the poorly performing
doctor
stuff promptly, and to support the docs concerned adequately through
retraining etc, would cost more money, which would put our fees up,
however.
In the long run it would be worth it. We need to hang on to public
respect,
not least in order to help us deal with the government.
