I checked it about eight years ago, for a patient who had had PC4
(failed) but didn't want a termination - unlessss there was a
significant risk. At that time I was advised that there was no risk to
the foetus - and the baby was perfectly normal.
Quite a lot of kids have been coceived because of "pil failure". I don't
know of anything to suggest that they are more at risk than planned
conceptions - and certainly there has been no demand for instant
termination for these pregnancies
