Strangely enough I've been trying to do this myself, and come up against
exactly the same problem.
Spoke to "Pete the LV expert" at EMIS todaywho told me it wasn't an LV
problem! I know my modem works, and EMIS themselves dial up into the
practice regularly so it can't be a problem at the practice end either
I seem to have missed the earlier bit of this string but the only other
advice is to check your COM port and select X on X off for the modem in
control panel - apparently
Please let me know if you suss this one out
