WELL I TOLD THEM SO.
As list readers will be aware in my role a chair of CSSA (GP suppliers trade association) I made strenuous efforts to get NHSE to involve suppliers in the development of the new scripts.
You will probably have notice that the age box has moved and there are some minor changes in the form position at the bottom of the new script. Despite assurances that nothing would change.
They haven't thought through the practical implications of the different colours
This is last straw. If it's true. I shall be forwarding my copious correspondence warning them of their foolishness directly to ministers.

Subject: bubble-jet printers
One of my 'little dickie-birds' has given me some inside information
re bubble-jet printers.
The NHSE is apparently considering banning them for prescription
generation. Why? Because it is apparently very easy to alter them
because of the inks used.
We use a lot of cannon 300 bubble jets. Being a resource investigator
I got out an eraser and tried it. No, couldn't easily rub out
printing on the old white paper...quite easy on the new green paper!
QED. Someone has obviously goofed in 'head-office' on the paper
specifications!
