We ABSOLUTELY refuse to prescribe this.
One consultant tried to get us to give injections of the stuff,
weekly, to someone with psoriasis with athropathy. He got very upset
with us and went to the local district medical committee despite our
protestations that the BNF guidelines recommend gowns, goggles,
gloves etc and appropriate disposal services. Needless to say he
lost that one.
Going back to the tablets. Whoever writes the prescription is
responsible. Are you going to monitor the blood counts, etc. Are you
going to adjust the dose? Have you been properly trained?
Do you have the time:-(
