Subject to certain bureaucratic requirements citizens from one EU country are eligible to receive the same health benefits in another EU country as available to that countries nationals. So the 7UKP will be a contribution after subsidy by the French system.
Healthcare provision and funding arrangement vary considerable across the EU and harmonisation is decades away it ever happens

Questions from an interested but uninformed party:
1) Is the charge of 7UKP reflective of private insurance or an arrangement between the NHS and the French equivalent?
2) Are there provisions for citizens of one EU country to be treated in another EU country under that country's health system?
3) If not, is this envisioned to be a part of the EU in the future - a fusion or partnership between the disparate health systems of the EU?
4) In what way, if any, does / will the EU affect the health systems involved?
TIA
