Subject: UNCLASSIFIED:-Dum de dum de dum de dum deaths
Did you read the article in the Christmas BMJ about death rates in soap
operas? Apparently the most dangerous job in the UK is being a soap op
star. The researchers only looked at TV soaps, which of course misses out
that vital, essential, not to be missed tale of country folk, The Archers
(available, with some difficulty at times, to us Poms down under).
Maybe radio soaps aren't so dangerous, although the Archers has had its
share of deaths over the last 12 years. I am prepared to undertake this
onerous statistical task (well, I'll give it a go and may need some help
with the stats). Trouble is, I can never remember who died when. Are
there any GPUK Archers fans who can help? I need to know:
1. Who died in the Archers between 1985 and mid 1997.
2. Date of death.
3. Cause of death
4. Age at death.
5. Date of first appearance
Thanks in advance. I'll keep you posted with developments.
Mark
