Worries me a lot too.
It seems that there is a 'Mafia' like stranglehold that is inhibiting
progress.
I believe some of the barriers to progress stem from either un-informed
or self-interested advice that the Exec/IMG are receiving.
I was appalled to learn few days ago how reluctant people from BT, for
example, to talk with clinicians and users in general. They did not
see it as part of their 'culture'. The result, of course, is that
they are subject to the same mis-information and seflf-interest.
Unless and until we *know* what the punters want; and what *they* see
as benefit, there isn't much point in trying to sell a yacht to
someone who is land-locked, no matter how wonderful that yacht is!
