If Frank Burns achieves the end of stopping the NHSE IMG and their
cascading satrapies attempting to rush doctors into choosing particular
solutions from the plenum of those available by misinforming, shading
truth, lying and hiding facts of relevance then he will have done a
useful job.
NHS Net in its current form has been growing in my opinion into a
project whose nature is supect and whose administration at a large
proportion of the identifiable levels is tarnished by overt dishonesty
or apparent incompentence (if somebody maintains that a system which
will not garantee security - will, when it is obvious to us that it
won't, they are lying or incompentent; if they say that the technology
selected is future proof and best when it is Betamax, they are, as
above, select one of two)
IMHO Frank Burns has a brief window of opportunity in which he can
retrieve the situation, and make progress toward what I believe every
non-lurker on this list has demonstrated they desire, and what I
believe most of the lurkers want as well, a widespread connection of
the elements of the NHS for the benefit of th eservice, the patients
and the State as a whole.
To do this he must coerce the (survivors of the ) current incumbents in
NHS Networking and administration into openness, into a genuine
dialogue instead of the sort of top down crap assurances that have been
ladled out hitherto, and an actual attempt to find out and meet the
needs of the sharp end workers in healthcare using available technology
to good effect.

Huris net 2 will explore the actual needs and desires of GPs related to
their practices, their family life, their patients, their evolving PCGs
and existing LMCs.
Part 2, soon.
