I've read it and have a few concerns, though generally I think many of the
proposals should be welcomed by the professions (there's a lot of good stuff
in there too!). The Guardians role is interesting & will pose some
challenges to set up in primary care...perhaps it will need HA/LMC/PCG
support?
As for the Tracing Service (NSTS). I think you are right. There are some
worrying aspects to this, especially its potential uses for post-payment
checks, "person-tracing" eg for "serious crimes" and other unspecified
uses.... This area definitely needs clinical input & guidance.
The pofession has been formally asked for comments, via the GMSC & RCGP. I'm
co-ordinating the RCGP response for their Health Informatics Group - I would
welcome any other comments....
