WHAT THE F*** IS GOING ON
Pardon my French.
I am very happy to let the PCG have responsibility for the most
irresponsible, but reserve the right to keep responsibility for the most
responsible.
Have the TOS changed under our noses. Can I become responsible, unilaterally
for the 5,000 least consulting patients in the UK? We all take GEOGRAPHICAL
responsibility within our practice areas when we become principals, we
cannot take cross cover. The managers may be responsible, but NO WAY am I
becoming am manager.

Subject: Configuration of PCGs
We've just got a consultation document, "Consultation on the configuration
of Primary Care Groups" from our Health Authority.
On p.5, section 4, second para, it states that "All patients registered with
a GP will become the responsibility of the PCG of which the GP is a
member." - I obviously intend to ask for clarification but three questions
spring to mind: -
1. Has anyone else received local consultation papers like this one?
2. Do any of them contain similar statements?
3. What is the clarification from the HA?
Call me paranoid but what is going on here?
