Not a real one. You might argue that the Members on a Social Services
Committee of local government are elected and therefore represnt
patients.
Community Health Councils should be represented too, but most CHCs
have no teeth and are run by very neece ladies from Chipping Norton!

Oh, but you must! How else can we know the views of our customers?
My patients, by the way, are right behind my stand. They *value* my
independence and the *personal, ala carte* service they can only get
from a solo doctor.
Perhaps you should also pose those questions as a customer to your MP
or write to the Gurandian ;-)
