Is this a reference to Bill Gate's demo of the USB scanner at Comdex?
If this is too obscure, Bill was involved with a demo of a USB scanner; when
they plugged it in, Windows 98 crashed spectacularly.
For those with microsoft netshow:
mms://netshow.msn.com/msnbc/news/100/980420gates_demo.asf
is a video of the whole disaster :-)
Best wishes
