I have no problems with ANY of the above, provided the sites are peer
reviewed in some way. Payment is always a problem. The work needs to be
done by Drs, who cannot realise much of their UKP 100+/hr . Publishers
who pay authors realistic money would have to charge prices none of us
would pay for their products.
If you are doing the work out of interest anyway (or to improve care of
your patients) why not share?
the GP-TuT website seems the best bet if you don't want to go down the
mentor route. Mentor is a little different because it is designed to be
used with the patient there in front of you in the consulting room. Not
many of us feel confident enough to use the WWW real time in the
consulting room yet - and not get hours behind (provided we have
internet access from the consulting room - which I don'T)
I would like to take this opportunity for all those who have contributed
to this thread, and/or emailed me. Please keep the comments/expressions
of interest (or disgust) flowing.
Regards
Huw
