Agreed.
At the risk of moving the thread sideways a little - what about the
processin of the slides.
I think someone mentioned having fewer larger centres - making qual
control easier - and reducing the frighening news breaks that seem to
haunt this area.
We have the technology to use digital images produced at local sites,
held on a server and viewed at a Super Smear Centre.
Perhaps one, two or three centres for the entire UK/Europe/the world?
