Very similar experiences its Windelete (£30+), Qemm 8 (£60+, I think)
and even Norton (£60+)
I find that all of these utilities cock up your system and invariably
slow it down rather than speed it up, which if I am not mistaken is
the object of the whole exercise.
If had saved all the cash I could have bought a half decent spec
machine by now and abandoned my pipe dreams of a piece of software
worth a few quid transforming my ailing 486 DX into a turbocharged
mean machine.
I have given up on all utilities and stopped trialing demos and
freebie software which creates all the crap in the first place.
