Netscape 4 & IE4 run OK on same machine, tho' not, presumably,
simultaneously. For personal historical reasons, I have both and they work
fine. Netscape even faster with IMSI's NetAccelerator (which also runs IE4,
but has less speeding up effect). Curiously, upgrade downloads to either
find their way to the right destination regardless of which browser you
download through. With Outlook98, if you send an e-mail reply while on
Netscape, it sends it both down the line and a copy to Outlook's Inbox. I
don't understand the fax, however, and already use another system which is
very easy, so Outlook one, which I can't get to work, doesn't bother me.
always in my thoughts.

Yikes! You mean I have to install MSIE 4 to run Outlook 98?
Not happy to do that. I like my computer the way it is, and I want the
flexibility to use whichever Web browser I choose. (I do a lot of Web design
work, and need to view Web pages with older versions of MSIE and Netscape,
as
well as with Opera). I gather installing MSIE4 forces you to use MSIE4, and
no other. Also gather it is very difficult to uninstall. Didn't even the
great
Ahmad have difficulties? Or am I totally confused?
PC Advisor (latest edition just out) review a number of software options,
including pcANYWHERE, Reachout,Carbon Copy and CA Remotely Possible. Has
anyone else had experience of any of these?
Thank you for all the suggestions so far.
