The answer we got was "no"
A friend who had a friend in the HA who might possibly have left a
couple of discs on a desk for a little while during a meeting noted
that a call came to enquire about hte whereabous of the discs before
the meeting reached any loose or interesting point.
If you want fucntionality added to a system, surely the way to do it is
to release it to lots of people, some of whom can tinker, (eg Netscape,
Linux, Dinkypad, Word) and collect the solutions and addins and macros
which people come up with.
If you want to limit functionality and use, keep it close.
It sounds a massively unconvincing argument to me, but then most NHS IT
arguments sound massively unconvincing to me these days.
