Quite incorrect... The DARIEN presentation was not to the same standard. In
fact very poor
compared to some of the other companies. Anyway DARIEN were selling a
product, a different domain
from going to see the doctor.

You are correct, ICON did not present to the committee. But ICON only wrote
the Microsolutions fundholding
software that was purchased. There was no contract with ICON, it was with
Microsolutions . It was irrelevent who wrote the module of software. THe
main concern was whether it worked. Microsolutions actually bought over ICON
later that year after the contract was signed...and as time developed
Reuters took over Microsolutions.
It would be a brave man to purchase a multifund WAN from a company who has
no experience or
existing sites. Multfund site visits were made to all the companies who had
existing WANs, and
independent assessments were made from existing users.
