This time with apologies to WB Yeats
A British GP foresees the future
I know that I shall meet my fate
Somewhere within a PCG
I will not say I cannot wait
I'd rather they would let me be.
My practice may not stay the same
But bigger must be best
I cannot see what we shall gain
But they never let us rest.
Not law but duty keeps me going,
Not managers, but patients,
Even they may lose their being:
Not patients, but clients.
I balanced all, brought all to mind
And forward I shall look
Forgetting all that lies behind
And even that Red Book?
