I find myself in agreement with Midge on the issue of the daftness of
linking opposition to PCG with anger over TR fees.
But what Peter Fellows (who is on hols and cannot defend himself) was
perhaps trying to express is that there was an under current of
opposition to PCGs and frustration at inability to express it in any
other way.
PCGs will stand or fall on the bases of the arguments for and against
them.
TR fees are a separate issue that is serving as a channel for frustration.
Now, should the Exeter people choose to submit a motion calling for a
ballot or opposing PCGs per se, then that would be a different, and
commendable, matter ;-)
