Looking at a GMS3 form, for teephone advice by the co-op, I note that
the phrase at teh bottom reads
"I declare to the best of my belief that this information is correct
and I claim the appropriate fee as set out in the SFA....."
Now, assuming that the NHSE is correct in holding that the SFA sets out
that no fee is appropriate to a teleohone consultation, and assuming
for the moment that I agreed, it is hardly improper for me to endorse a
claim for that appropriate fee - of nothing.
THe question arises how it is to be determined by the HA whether this
is a form carrying a note of a consultation which is merely being
furnished for transmission to her own GP, or one for which payment
should be ade.
And the answer is of course that it is up to the competent authority to
provide a way of indicating this, by means of a tick box or other
indicator to rlieve the HA staff of the task of reading every clinical
TR note to see if it says "tel"
