many health authorities in uk have recommended that it should NOT be
prescribed
-not cos of £
-but primarily cos of lack of evidence
-only 1 clinical trial 260 patients which showed marginal benefit on one
particular rating scale of dementia- no comment on effect on daily living ,
can patient dress themselves etc
- for the usual independent assessment see Drug & Therapeutics Bulletin
recently

This "wonder "drug is being launched in Ireland today amid great
fanfare. Because I subscribe to GP-UK I am not so easily fooled. I
seem to remember a few withering and sceptical comments about it on the
list recently.
Could anyone give me a " I am John's Testicle Reader's Digest" type
analysis of it? Is it a goodie or a baddie?
