John Chisholm, so called chairman of the GMC, said in 'Pulse' today on
the subject of a national ballot on PCGs:
"We need a ballot like we need a hole in the head", and,
"a vote would only weaken the GMSC's bargaining position with ministers"
And: " only a minority was calling for action"
Dear Dr Chisholm:
What bargaining position would that be exactly?
You have been snubbed by those ministers you are cosying up to who gave
you just 2 days to respond to the latest changes!
How could we allow someone to lead us who can't even work out simple
maths?
The 'minority' Dr Chisholm refers to is 91% of GPs according to the
survey in 'GP' magazine!
Perhaps Dr Chisholm does need a hole in the head (allegedly)
Dr Chisholm: your time is up. You have lost the confidence of the
profession. To coin a phrase of one of your beloved ministers: pack up
your bags and GO. Please. Just move over and let the grassroots do the
job with any divinity that is left to us. Just GO!
We need true, upstanding and courageous leadership to represent us.
NOW!
