I think we have reached the stage where Orthopod list traffic is
increasing so much that it is crushing some peoples mailboxes.
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/orthopod/ International mailing list
relating to research in Orthopaedics and Trauma. This list will stay the
same. It will be the forum for international discussion and be worldwide
entry list for surgeons getting into mailing lists for orthopaedics and
trauma. People may stay on this list forever. You may wish to stay in
Orthopod and not move. You may wish to leave orthopod and join your
specialist list. Its up to you. I do not wish to see Orthopod
fragmenting, because people are driven away as a result of receiving too
much mail. Your help file will tell you how to leave, if you have lost
this it is on the webpage. All these forums are free.
I have created three new lists. These are specialist lists that have had
the greatest interest in Orthopod. You may join all these lists if you
want. I have not created further specialist lists at present as I do not
think there is the demand. When there is demand for say a "foot and
ankle list" I can create it. I would envisage, we will need a shoulder
list, hand list, foot and ankle list, basic science list, etc.
WHAT MUST NOT HAPPEN IS FOR PEOPLE TO CROSS POST ACROSS LISTS. IF PEOPLE
CROSS POST CONSIDERATION MAY BE MADE TO REMOVING THAT MEMBER. IF A TOPIC
INITIALLY APPEARS ON A PARTICULAR LIST IT MUST STAY ON THAT LIST.
New Lists:
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/arthroplasty/ mailing list relating to
primary and revision joint replacement surgery in all joints of the
human body.
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/spine/ mailing list relating to elective
and traumatic spinal orthopaedic surgery, the outcomes of spinal surgery
and rehabiliation.
http://www.mailbase.ac.uk/lists/sportmedorth/ mailing list relating to
the orthopaedic surgical treatment of sports injuries, outcomes and
rehabilitation.
to join these lists you must send a message to [log in to unmask]
with this message in the body of your message
join listname firstname lastname
where listname is either arthroplasty, spine, sportmedorth
where firstname is your firstname and last name is your lastname
I hope this is useful.
