1. Agreed. Have a ballot. (OK Dr Risk, it's now unanimous <BG>)
2. If each professional group retains its independence, representing only
itself we will continue to work within a framework of disunity, giving
different message to the patients in order to reflect our own self
interests. How does the concept of a single professional group grab you?
3. IMO pharmacy has too fragile a grip on its dispensing monopoly to risk
upsetting HMG. Our negotiators are afraid of new roles. I see pharmacies
best chance for a meaningful future as in a partnership with other health
professionals not independent from them. So from my point of view an
independent ballot of pharmacies would be retrograde.
4 I know little (make that nothing) of the 1990 contract.
