A couple of years back I had a crash course in dentistry ( 4 hours ) from an
American dentist, so I could look after trekkers in Nepal.
I was taught that the treatment for dental absesses is drainage, not
antibiotics.
The book "Where there is no dentist" told me what to do.
Funnily enough, the first trekker I saw with a dental infection preferred
antibiotics and painkillers!
