Been watching it for a while then...

Aaaaaaaaargh! WHere did you get this peculiar idea that _at present_
you (naturally being efficient and frugal) are _not_ subsidising these
wastrels?
I mean, does it seem likely? Are we about to reveal that the
conservation principles have been repealed? I think not.
So OK, previously we could not know what extent the subsidy was, and we
don't know yet, but in the future we may be able to be reasonably
accurate.

Interesting times.
If I was going to criticise PCGs I would start by saying that the NHS
contains a great deal of frivolity and waste, and I would have liked to
see a more direct attack on stopping doing that which should not be
done, and less of a major reorganisation with its usual opportunities
for the frivolators to shuffle off into nice apparent jobs after
spending a yearor so doing no productive work but only feathering a
nest for the next regime. Not that there are a majority of them, but
even a few can do an enormous amount of harm.
But for the moment, I think we are heading in the right direction
>If the Government is determined to maintain the principles of the NHS

Oh arr. And everyone should have the chance to live in greater
happiness with more freedom and opportunity. It would have been more
impressive if your proposal for another way of running and funding had
been revealed before the election campaign - after all there have been
13 years of a different regime when you had the opportunity to
publicise an improvement - perhaps I wrong you, and you did.
