Still on this drug screen thread;
Some years ago a patient consulted and told me he was taking anabolic steroids
to help with his body building. He asked whether I would regularly examine him
and check his bloods on a private basis. I refused, saying:
I didn't know enough about the drugs or their side effects
I thought there might be undesirable long term consequences
I didn't think my protection society would support me if things went wrong and
I was called to explain myself.
He went away somewhat miffed. Anybody been in this situation before?
