<<Difficult one really. We get hot under the collar about this yet most of
us are upset at the use of drugs in sport>>
Again, there is a difference here---informed comment is that most
top-notch athletes either take drugs or would like to, to improve
performance. Therefore most of them can be presumed guilty.
Personally, I couldn't care less about pro or amateur athletes since I
never watch sport. . If they want to imbibe, ingest and inject substances
which are probably no better than placebo then that is their problem, not
mine.
And there is a world of difference between an athlete deluded enough to
believe that steroids will significantly improve chances of winning and an
accountant who snorts some of the white stuff for recreation. I worry a
hell of a lot more about those (accountants) who don't care enough/don't
know enough about their work to do a good job for me. And I certainly
worry a LOT about the general atmosphere and boss/employee relations in
firms where they do drug tests; I feel that air of suspicion and total
lack of trust is much more likely to affect the work (ie my tax bill) than
some coke on a Friday night.
So I had better go and find out which services firms I deal with do drug
tests and move my business elsewhere----yeah yeah next week, jus lemme find
that lil tablet now......................
Declan....zzzzzz
