I don't think so. I adopt a similar tack with my patients if I'm sure they
have a primary dental problem and not, say, referred pain from maxillary
sinusitis.
Thing is, by the time you've checked out their symptoms thoroughly and made a
diagnosis you've already wasted 10minutes! :-(
If I'm feeling generous, I tell them that my knowledge of dentistry is limited
to the three P's:
Penicillin
Pain killers and
P*ss off and see a dentist :-)
