We are working on ways of doing this within the Collection of Health
Data from General Practice project (see website
http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/gp/chdgp ). At present we are in a
pilot phase, looking at a Core Data Set (NB: this is NOT a minimum
data set) of a small number of conditions, just to test the
methodology - asthma, diabetes, hypertension, IHD, CVA/stroke, severe
mental illness, prescribing. At least as important is the training
aspect of the project, and to this end there are Guidelines for data
recording - copy downloadable from the website. Let me know if you
would like any more information about the work we are doing.
Best wishes
Sheila
