When you are not paid for it.
I recall when I was working in Oz in general practice if a patient came to
reception to ask for a repeat prescription they were asked to wait until
the doctor had finished the consultation. The doctor would always come to
the desk, shake hands, say how are you and then sign a prescription. The
patient was then asked to sign the government form to say that a
consultation had taken place. Just think - every repeat prescription signed
is a consultation paid.
