The issue is what the liabilities are if:
a) You get so called upgraded software, Office 98 for Office 97 but the new
software removes your previous capability (Fax capability)
b) You uninstall something (e.g. McAfee) and it removes dlls which then
affects the way other software works or doesnt as the case may be.
What about Articles 85 or 86 of the Treaty of Rome?
What about the fact that doing this alters the physical characteristics of
your disk (the magnetisation pattern is different) relied on to some extent
by the insurance industry I believe as well as your ability to do what you
used to be able to do?
