Used MS Money for 6y now in various disguises.... Money 98 is an awesome
package... all for £38 (full financial suite) or £28 basic model. Includes
online banking with
Alliance Leicester/Nationwide and Barclays. No annual support..... who needs
annual support anyway for such a package?
We tell our accountant how we want the accounts.... ie what
catagories/subcatagories etc.... with his/her guidance.

Hang on, hang on. Most of the readers of this list are pretty computer
savvy. Buy Quicken or MS Money and it won't take long to customise them
to satisfy the accountant. Cost? About 30 quid roughly. And no
maintenance cost. I do the accounts in my practice and have used
Quicken v5 for the last 2-3 years. It works fine!
