And would you choose General Practice as a career again knowing what you know
now? I saw something in one of the comics recently that said 80% of GP's were
regretting their choice. When the profession is sh*t on from a great height
time after time don't you feel like a footballer who keeps having his
goalposts moved? And saving all that money by prescribing generically then
having your income cut in real terms? It's enough to make a grown man cry ;-(
I'm off to take my Prozac (sorry fluoxetine.....I like the comforting green
and cream colours ;-)
G'night all
Jeremy.
PS have you heard about the new ?5th generation beta blocker? Apparently due
for imminent release from Stuart pharmaceuticals it will be competitively
priced as the company hope it will increasingly be prescribed in preference to
Tenormin which of course went off patent some time ago. The new product will
be exceptionally well tolerated and has a side effect profile similar to
placebo.
The brand name is still under wraps but the generic name is to be PILOFAROL.
Sounds familiar somehow ;-)
