to consider when working out how these things are to run.
I do not see how PCGs can maintain the idea of all
practices being competing independent businesses, while we
co-operate in th PCG.
SO, solutions include the NHS buying our buildings and
computers and what-have you (and you may well find that
practices with negative equity in buildings and legacy
systems that they don't believe will be made y2k/RFA4
compliant (no Laurie, I mean AMC 2000) see some merit in
this.)
and lawyer/accountant-sized partnerships working from
several premises and including all GPs in the area, perhaps
with some old-style Principlas and some new style salaried
assistants, salaried Principals and whatever...
or levellling it all up by liberating the practice nurses
to buy in and be partners, paid with a share of the
profits, and the HAs ad Trusts letting their staff go
self-employed as partners, or be employed by the PCGs.
Fascinating stuff, Canute, and getting frothy.
