So, the National Association of Fundholding Practices is calling for a
delay in the implementation of primary care group commissioning (some
bits)??! Some interesting bits from its survey:
61% of practices less committed than they were to fundholding
39% intending to invest less interest and energy than they did in
fundholding
75% want to start at level 4, BUT 77% of AHAs responding wanted practices
to start at level 1 or 2 (I wonder why!!!???)
The NAFP is pressing for care groups to be allowed to devolve budgets to
individual practices (just like fundholding)
The NAFP is concerned that replacement of existing contracts with 3yr
agreements as at April 1999 will lead to major problems (wrong/poor
contractual agreements)
Lots to do then??
